We invite you to visit our Testimonials page.
What language are the sessions conducted in?
All sessions are conducted in English and we welcome all artists globally.
Do I need an art qualification?
No, we welcome those with qualifications as well as self-taught artists and beginners.
Is there an application process?
No, you are invited to participate in any course that you believe is appropriate. If the course doesn’t meet your needs, you can cancel halfway through and receive a full refund, no questions asked.
How long are your courses?
Courses are 6 or 8 weeks with one live session per week.
What time is it at Contemporary Art Academy?
We are based in London, so courses are scheduled in Greenwich Meantime or British Summertime (UTC+0:00) All course descriptions include ET & PST timings.
What equipment do I need to join a course?
You will need a device with access to the internet, a microphone and a camera. We don’t recommend taking the courses on phones only as the screens are not big enough. For practical courses you will need a workstation and course specific materials.
How do I access the online course once I have purchased?
Upon purchase you will receive by return a link to padlet, the course interface. There you will find all course documents including Zoom session links.
What is on the course interface padlet?
Under COURSE DOCUMENTS you will find:
- COURSE AIMS & OBJECTIVES; what we plan to deliver and what you can expect to learn.
- COURSE GUIDELINES; a week-by-week breakdown of session activities
- COURSE TIMETABLE; session start & finish time; session faculty, session Zoom link.
Under NOTICEBOARD you will find:
- Individual session briefs
- Whats app sign-up
- Any other course notifications
Artists will also have their individual column where they can upload images, texts, references etc.
How do I access the online class?
Bookmark the course padlet on your browser. A few minutes before the start of the session open padlet then hit the relevant session zoom link in TIMETABLE. You will be invited to open Zoom then be directed to the class. For the best experience download the Zoom app.
