Dr Narbi Price will discuss his journey towards a portfolio career in the arts and explore how a DIY ethos continues to shape his practice.
Beginning with promoting bands in his twenties, British painter, curator, and academic Narbi’s path has evolved through freelance curatorial work and the completion of a PhD, leading to governance roles across several arts organisations. He currently serves as a Trustee of The Ashington Group (Pitmen Painters) Collection and as Chair of Contemporary British Painting.
Throughout his career, a commitment to self-initiated, collaborative working has remained central. In this talk, Narbi will speak candidly about how these opportunities developed and share insights into balancing a studio practice with project work and professional responsibilities.
