Course Description
Community Crits is a peer-led crit programme for practising artists who want regular, constructive feedback and a committed group to discuss your work with. Over eight weekly online sessions, you will present your own work twice, four weeks apart, with time in between to respond and develop new work.
Each session has three 30-minute crits. You take part in all group crits, so you learn as much from discussing other artists’ work as from presenting your own. Sessions are moderated by a participating CAA alumni artist, who keeps the discussion focused, generous and critical. The first session begins with introductions, and the last ends with summing up and next steps.
Community Crits is peer-led. With its low entry barrier, it works well between courses so you can maintain momentum. It is also ideal for artists who are curious about Contemporary Art Academy. For feedback with leading contemporary artists, writers or curators, see our Development (PG) courses or Masterclass Programme.
