Course Description
MASTERCLASS_PERSONAL PRACTICE outlines the artistic, professional, and personal ambitions of Suzanne
Bethell, a Manchester-based artist whose practice explores psychological states, emotional triggers,
and the interdependence of opposites. The plan aims to support Suzanne in strengthening her studio
practice, refining her professional strategy, and expanding her visibility beyond Manchester, while
providing structured critical support and guidance on selecting and presenting her strongest work.
Faculty scheduling will begin once registration is complete. Monthly instalments start at the time of registration. Registration should be completed at least two months prior to the planned start date, or immediately if the program is starting sooner.

14 sessions @ £95 per session. £190.00 paid monthly for seven months starting from date of registration.
Terms & Conditions
Faculty
- CAA reserves the right to replace recommended faculty with other suitable mentors.
Refund Policy
- All payments for sessions are non-refundable, regardless of attendance, cancellation, or schedule changes initiated by the participant.
- Missed sessions, late arrivals, or technical issues on the participant’s side are not eligible for refunds or credits.
- If the mentor cancels a session completely (not rescheduled), the participant will receive a session credit.
Lateness Policy
- A grace period of 15 minutes is allowed for each session.
- If the participant joins within the grace period, the session will continue but will end at the originally scheduled time.
- Arrival later than 15 minutes will be considered a no-show, and the session will be forfeited with no re-scheduling, refunds or credits.
- If the mentor is late, the full session time will be provided or an alternate time will be scheduled.
Rescheduling Policy (48-Hour Notice)
- Only when absolutely necessary, participants may reschedule a session with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.
- Rescheduling requested within 48 hours of the appointment will not be permitted and will result in the session being forfeited with no re-scheduling, refunds or credits.
- If the mentor needs to reschedule, the participant will be offered a new date within 48 hours of the appointment.
Faculty Contact Policy
- Communication with mentors should only take place within scheduled sessions and on padlet.
Conduct & Preparedness
- Participants should come prepared with their artwork, files, questions, or materials they want to discuss.
- Professional and respectful conduct is required.
- Recording sessions is only permitted with explicit permission.
Technical Issues
- Technical issues on the participant’s side (internet, software, hardware, etc.) are the participant’s responsibility and do not qualify for refunds or extensions.
- If technical problems occur on the mentor’s side, the session will be rescheduled or extended as appropriate.
Confidentiality & Intellectual Property
- Artwork, discussions, and shared materials remain private between mentor and participant.
- The mentor provides guidance, but all creative decisions remain with the participant.
