Course Description

Explore myths, legends, histories, and geological time. Artist Liane Lang presents an online acrylic painting course based on her artistic journey to Ireland. MIST & MAGIC is suitable for all levels and introduces a range of landscape painting techniques, inventive approaches to storytelling and imaginative insights into subject matter.   

Participants can follow step-by-step or work independently from reference images. Each week Liane will introduce a different subject and new acrylic painting technique. These include colour mixing and tinting; wet on wet; and tonal range. Motifs include water reflections, foliage and skies. 

This practical course is encouraging and supportive, and available to anyone with the necessary materials (please see list below), a table-top to work on and access to Zoom. Session recordings are available for absentees. Key outcomes from MIST & MAGIC: Landscape painting in Ireland include:
