Create landscape, waterscape and plant paintings in watercolour. Artist Andrew Carter offers step-by-step demonstrations of how to make an initial pencil sketch from references; mark making methods; and colour mixing. Andrew will give an overview of watercolour paints and their properties; how to set up a workstation; and best practice for cleaning up. Alongside techniques and methods participants will explore themes and motifs around the subject PLANTS & PLACES.
This practical course is encouraging and supportive, and available to anyone with the necessary materials, a table-top to work on and access to Zoom. Session recordings will be automatically available for one week after each session for absentees or those wishing to enjoy the class again. Key outcomes of PLANTS & PLACES include:
